Edible Peanut Butter Playdough
Some days just call for something simple.
We had a rainy afternoon, everyone was a little restless, and I needed something easy that didn’t require a big setup or a trip to the store.
So we made edible peanut butter playdough.
I remember doing this as a kid, and it turns out… it’s still just as fun.
The best part is that it uses ingredients I already had in the kitchen, and the kids could play and snack at the same time — which kept them happy for a long while.
Why this is such a great activity
- Uses pantry ingredients
- No cooking required
- Safe for little ones to taste
- Keeps kids busy and engaged
- Doubles as a snack
It’s one of those activities that feels like a win all around.
How we played with it
The kids had so much fun with this.
They:
- Rolled it into balls, snakes, and pretzels
- Made “cookies” and shapes
- Used cookie cutters
- Added little decorations
And of course… tasted it along the way.
A simple moment
This wasn’t anything fancy, just something quick I threw together with what we had.
But it turned into one of those cozy, happy afternoons at home.
And honestly, those are the ones I remember most.
