Exploring East Africa

Sometimes we get the opportunity to pack our bags and head a little farther out. Exploring East Africa has wowed us, humbled us, and opened our eyes in the best ways. Come along with us as we explore East Africa — from everyday life in Uganda to family adventures across the region.
From busy cities and quiet villages to safaris, coastlines, mountains, and markets, East Africa is full of places that feel completely different from one another while still sharing something deeply connected underneath it all.
Some trips are big adventures. Others are slower and more ordinary in the best way. This page brings together the places we’ve explored across East Africa through our eyes.

UGANDA
The place we call home and where most of our East Africa adventures begin
Uganda is at the center of so much of our life here in East Africa. From everyday life in Mbale and our village in Tororo District to waterfalls, safaris, and road trips across the country, it’s the place we know most deeply and continue discovering all the time.
This is where most of our stories begin.

KENYA
Busy highways, growing cities, and a country that always feels full of movement
Kenya is one of those places that feels constantly alive. Whether driving through Nairobi, stopping in smaller towns, or traveling the roads that connect so much of East Africa together, it’s a country full of energy, contrast, and movement. We’re looking forward to sharing more of our Kenya travels here soon.

RWANDA
Rolling hills, quiet beauty, and a pace that feels calm in the best way
Rwanda is known for its green landscapes, clean cities, and peaceful atmosphere. It’s a place that feels organized, scenic, and deeply intentional in a way that stays with people long after visiting. We hope to explore more of Rwanda in the future and share those experiences here as well.

TANZANIA
Coastal cities, island life, and experiences that feel completely different from one another
Tanzania surprised us with how varied it feels from place to place. From the energy and movement of Dar es Salaam to the winding streets and ocean views of Zanzibar, every stop felt different while still carrying that distinct East Africa feeling we’ve grown to love.
