Things we actually use in our home in Uganda
When we moved to Uganda, we packed up our life in 15 suitcases and a few shipping boxes. We brought a mix of items with us and slowly put together what we needed for everyday life in both Mbale and our village home.

Life in Mbale: Our Daily Rhythm
Mbale is where most of our everyday life happens—school runs, errands, markets, and meals at home.
It’s a growing city that still feels familiar and grounded, with a special rhythm of its own.
Village Life in Tororo: Days on the Farm
In our village, life slows down in the best way. Days are shaped by the farm, family time, and being outside.
It’s where the kids run freely, and where we stay connected to something so much bigger than ourselves.
Life here isn’t about choosing one pace over another – it’s learning to live in both.
